PWC's annual Global investor Survey states that macroeconomic and inflationary issues are still a concern for investors, but have eased over the past year. However in 2023 climate risks have risen considerably, putting it on a par with cyber security, the survey reveals.
Interestingly the report goes on to state that investors have voiced their doubt about the reliability of sustainability reporting and information they use, and in some instances referred to it as greenwashing. 94% of investors believe corporate reporting on sustainability Performance Indicators contain a level of unsupported claims.
